We are planting forests!!
From July end, the Founding Director of the Centre, with the funds of Sudha and Dhirendra Parikh (same fund that supports CFFL), started plantation of trees at two levels: 1. Putting up forest plantation in village wastelands and 2. Providing lucrative fruit tree saplings to women farmers. Two NGOs, Utthan and Vasundhara Foundation are helping in executing the work. Six village wastelands will be greened and 140 women farmers' incomes will be enhanced by Rs. 10,000 - 40,000 per year.
